The interpreter listens to the person talking via headphones and translates his/her speech immediately into the target language without a time lag. Speakers talk as they normally would, without pause, as the interpreter listens to one language and speaks in another at the same time. This ensures the audience gets to hear the speaker's speech in their language. The interpreters are seated in a sound-proof booth in the conference room and are equipped with microphones that transmit their voice through wireless technology. This is used for speakers addressing large audiences. Interpreting consecutively, after each passage of speech or simultaneously, words are communicated in real time.
